I think that was the only way to get Brands and Sanderson to participate.

Neither one have been very big supporters of the national duals. A lot of coaches say they want to grow the sport nationally but the Big 10 and Big 12 have had an almost total lock on the scene for so long that they are not really willing to give any of that up when it comes down to it.
